Hey guys(girls included), if you do not know yet, Christmas will be here in a 2 days time!!

On the eve of Christmas, I would be having a simple family dinner gathering with relatives and after that I would be heading to my friend's place for a friends gathering for another round of feasting and drinking to usher in Christmas day.

hm..why am I getting the CNY vibe when i mentioned 'usher in christmas day' ? Lol..

I do not know how long I have not been updating this blog but all I can say is that it has been a while.

Many events happened. Both good and bad, indeed life is full of ups and downs. How I wish my life is a little more smooth flowing.

Christmas is coming in a few days' time followed by new year, 2010.

I am psyched and looking foward to the coming of next year and of course, more blog entries! =)

Bonjour !! It has been hell for me these past couple of days because of studying for my tests at the last minute. My bio clock is screwed now but I am working to get it back to normal.

Alright, I think I should stop whining and start focusing on being optimistic because I understand it can be quite vexing to listen to somebody whine non stop like a machine gun :) and if you have not realise yet, I have added something new to my plain looking blog.

Yes, I think you have guessed correctly, the new additions to my blog are some pictures of myself ! Haha, alright do not get the wrong idea here, I am not narcissist but only to a reasonable extent.

Now you may think that being self-centered is quite disgusting but the truth is that what interests people most are themselves. Believe it or not, this is the truth.

So what I'm trying to say is that, it is fine and natural to be self-centered but do not over do it because you might come across as being a smug.

Hey!!! First of all, Happy 2009!!!XING NIAN KUAI LE, WAN SHI RU YI !!! GONG XI FA CAI!!!! Lol, it is late to say this now but I am still going to say it because this is my first entry of 2009!!! Lol, I have been really really busy with many aspects of life. For instance, work (School), social and health. Juggling these 3 aspects has been a very difficult task to handle. Besides this, I have picked up a new sport and it is quite addictive. The name of this sport is called Poker, Texas Hold'em , haha. Unfortunately, with some of my poker buddies going back to Australia to start their new semester, it means that I am going to get less action from now on but no worries, I am sure there is a way =)

Mid Semester Tests are just around the corner and following that would be my Biathalon event which would be on 7 March at ECP. I would be swimming 1.5Km in the sea and finishing the event with a 10km run.

All the late nights, gambling and munching on CNY goodies have taken atoll on my once well conditioned body. It is now time to pull up my socks and whip that ass back to shape.

Lastly but not the least, my studies are of the utmost importance. With this semester being the most packed, I better wake up my idea and exercise greater discipline to study.

Gosh, that means less time for blogging. I dont update my blog regularly anyway. Lol.

This is my favourite chinese song by Ambrose Xu Shao Yang called Xing Fu De Shun Jian. It was taken off the Taiwanese Drama series, Lavender, which was shown many years back on Channel 8. Somehow, I did not get tired of listening to this song after all these years and I always sing this when I go Karaoke, lol :) Enjoy!

In a blink of the eye, my exam results are out. I did not expect much from the results because of my inadequate preparation for them. True enough, my intuition was quite accurate but surprisingly, I managed to pull off a distinction, lol. In reality, scoring a distinction is not a big deal as it is common. There is nothing much to be proud of and I will work harder in my 2nd semester next year.

By the way, for the past week, I had been working a couple days at a banquet to kill some time before my actual part time job begins which would be this coming tuesday and I am psyched to make money!!! lol. The banquet job is not easy and quite strenuous for a guy and all my fellow colleagues are much younger than me! Most of them born in the 90s, haha. Damn, I feel old. Alright, no, I was just exaggerating. I am not that old, in fact, I am 22 this year! :) Forever 22. lol.

The only thing I like about the banquet job is that right after work each day, they would pay me right away in cash!! Sweet :)

The final month of 2008 has just began and I will live everyday from now to make 2008 a fruitful year. Cheers :)

Finally, the exams are over!! Haha, for those who know me, I know it is abit late to say this but hey, it is better to be late than never.

I should have been updating this blog but procrastination got the better of me and of course, my incredible search for a temp job has left me not much time to work on this humble little blog. Right after my exams, I started my job search almost immediately. From the newspapers to the internet and even asking my friends. My efforts paid off and I am going to start work on the 9th Dec as a pharmacy assistant at Tan Tock Seng Outpatient Clinic.

With my work starting on the 9th Dec(can't be changed), it means that I am not able to follow my family to Shanghai to visit my Aunt which would fall between 7th to 10th Dec. ARGH ! I hate this but I am going to have to live with it because earning money now is my main priority. Besides, there is always another day to travel but making money is of the utmost importance to me :) and don't say that I am money-faced because I strongly believe that money makes the world go round. lol. Of course, money cannot buy everything.

By the way, what truly got me to blog again is after checking out these 2 strangers' blogs my friend pasted to me. Both blogs are really good and inspired me to blog again.Lol.

One is by Verie, www.redrosesgoldthorns.blogspot.com and the other is Alyssa, www.alyssadrims.blogpsot.com .

Alyssa's blog is full of pink so i guess that is one of her fav colours and also quite formal and businesslike in terms of her 'portfolio' and 'events organised' which made her blog almost like a resume. Oh yeah I forgot, she majors in Marketing & Public Relations. LOL.

I much prefer Verie's blog. Good selection of songs for her blog which made my reading experience very relaxing. I am not really a fan of websites with added music playing and I would usually stop the music when it starts to play. However, this was not the case for Verie's blog.

Furthermore, Verie's posts were interesting and funny. lol. She is also creative in expressing her values and goals on her blog. Last but not least, her interestingly shaped photos really translate a slice of life.

Exams....

Aarr feels good to be back again. I could be sleeping now but instead i'm sacrificing my precious time adding a new post. haha ok, you must be wondering what the hell am I talking about, this is suppose to be my own blog but i'm complaining about adding a new post. The only reason I can come up with for this irrational behaviour is due to me not having enough sleep.

Yes, sleep. Never underestimate the importance of sleep. It is the secret to having a sound state of mind. Of course, im feeling quite mellow right now, just abit tired due to insufficient sleep the night before.

What was I doing the night before? I was furiously studying for the Macroeconomics exam paper which was held today. Damn!~ I hate exams and I hate myself more for not studying more in advance. So, I studied late into the night and after I was done with it, I dived straight for my bed and tried to get some decent sleep with whatever remaining time was left. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The information that I studied was churning inside my head, refusing to let me sleep in peace. I was tired and couldnt sleep until about 2 hrs later. haha no, I'm just exaggerating. I think it was about an hour at most of tossing and turning in bed. But hey, it sucks when you're tired but can't sleep.

So after a while of sleeping, it was already time for me to wake up and get to school for the exam.
I felt like i had a hundred kilos of weight strapped onto my body as forced myself to get up from my bed.

Two exams completed, Marketing Principles and Macroeconomics, 1 more to go, Intro to Accounting, which would be on this coming monday. So far, i did not feel exceptionally good after I finished these two completed exam papers. It means that i didn't study well enough :(

What a waste, i could have taken the advantage of using my tests' results to score a really good grade for each module but I let myself down in final stage which is the exam. Well, the good thing is that, i still have one last exam left, which happens to be a core module of my degree program and it is this module that matters most to me during this semester. One last exam to make this semester a fruitful one.

Be that as it may, it is five more days to my last exam paper and then it is my Holidays!!!!!!!!!! I am psyched!!!!! I'm going to look for a job and get some money!! I am going to be runnning a marathon and travelling to Shanghai in Dec. I am going to do the things i totally enjoy and update this blog :)

Cognitive Dissonance

Okay finally i got my date and time fixed with a little help from my classmate, Ling Qi, the trusty and ever helpful 'computer guru' :) . Clearly, blogging is not as easy as i thought it would be at the setup phase because i experienced some discomfort in the setup phase. This is due to me not being familar with the settings of blogger.com.

Fortunately, after exploring blogger.com, it is actually easily manageable :)

Apparently, my blog is new. Therefore, it is still quite bare but its not going to be like that forever. I am going to get it into a working and active groove. This would probably start after my exams which is on the 10th Nov.

So yes, a man has to do what a man got to do and i have to set my priorities right. First on my to-do list would be to work on my upcoming exams. However, i would put in a few entries during my exam period if i have the time.

oh one more thing to add before i sign out. Yesterday, my old email acc (ronald_sim) got hacked and I am going to say this again, "If you receive any suspicious emails or any emails from this email account, do not reply to them".

My new email and msn account is ronaldsim@live.com . This is my legitimate email. Please delete and block the old email account. Oh and after that, remember to add me back with my new email ronaldsim@live.com . Ciao.

Oh no, apparently, the date and time of my post was not the actual date and time that i wrote the post. I think its because i did not edit my 'location' under my 'profile' before posting my 1st entry. ( too kan jiong thats why). As i have said, this is my first time...

Nevertheless, i have 'kiasu-ly' wrote the down the date and time in my entry itself. lol.

Lesson learnt, do not be too ' kan jiong' , keep cool and remember to put the date. ( now i understand the reason of my primary school teacher always nagging at me to write the date!)

First ever blog entry

Hi guys, for those of you who do not know me yet, I am Ronald Sim. This is the first blog entry in my life and i started this blog on Oct 23 2008 at about 1.20am.

This blog is like therapy for me. This blog would be the place where i would put down my thoughts and feelings of what happened to me in my life, so instead of keeping all that heart burning issues to myself, I am going to unleash them all over here.

Of course, it's not going to be just all about me, myself and I. That would be predictable if the topic im going to write all the time is about myself. So instead, of just my 'autobiography' i'm going to write about other topics, like sports,dating and sex, cars, makan places, pubs/clubs, guys' fashion(sorry i don't know much girls' fashion/makeup), health, entertainment and this list goes on and on...there will never be an end if I do not put this (fullstop).

Occasionally, i would throw in some debate questions to debate about. For example, "Is the local show on channel 5 'the noose' an entertaining programme or issit a complete waste of time to watch?" or " Is Fiona Xie an over-rated beauty? " or " Is obesity a deal breaker? " or " Is ogling disrespectful? "

BTW my exams are coming very soon and its starting on the 31st OCT so it's time to pull up my socks, put on my game face, bite the bullet and study .
